G R E E C E (part deux)
The beaches in Greece are some of the greatest in the world but don't forget there is more to discover! Top activities : visiting ancient sites, nightlife, eating, and shopping. The nightlife in Greece is on another level, you really have to be ready to party! Before you know it, it will be 7am, 10am or maybe even 12pm before you get home. I was definitely known as the party-pooper for going home at the (way too soon) hours of 5-7am! Time flies when you are having fun, so you can imagine. The nightclub we visited in Athens was Akrotiri. Akrotiri means "the edge of the peninsula." You can see why... yes, that is the ocean right behind the club. This is a super-club, there were thousands of people and it was a blast.
This is our "parea." Parea means your company or group of friends in Greek. You always want to have good parea, it is very important to the Greek culture. We had great parea during our whole trip. My sister Pam and Georgia will be back from Greece this week and will post the whole album from our trip on facebook soon. I got my black dress at American Apparel. Pretty perfect. My trick for every long trip I go on is to have a small American Apparel shopping spree, mix it up with old clothes, and then and call it a day! My little Marc Jacobs bag would have been better off as a clutch (clutches are best for nightlife) but sometimes when you travel- you gotta do what you gotta do. My sister Georgia, on the very left, wore a simple black Wally-world piece. I need to go shopping there again soon. In my opinion, the most important thing to remember before you go out is to feel comfortable!
Blondie,on the left-Yiorgia has a perfect look. Her white and gold is definitely Greek goddess style. Gold earrings, gold belt, gold clutch on white dress is a dream. Her minimal make-up also adds to the appeal.Vas, on the very right, has a great summer jump-suit look.Fantastic. Jumpsuits really are a great option because you don't have to worry about flashing anyone! Maria in the front had an open back, Jersey dress...an open back piece is a hot choice!
This is a new British friend, Jobin. His shirt is A+++. He informed me that it is by a private label from East London, Traffic People. This label is tres-cool and has woman's wear too! I will be perusing the entire website ASAP. Very groovy. A gorgeous statue in the new Acropolis museum. This is what the archaic Greeks wore... stunning. Make this museum one of your stops in Athens.
Traditional Greek Army uniform below. Lady Gaga has worn a skirt inspired by these uniforms.
Next up is about what I bought in Greece. I've got tips for shopping there and anywhere abroad!

G R E E C E (part 1)
Why should you go? Because you will have the time of your life. You will see the bluest oceans and the bluest skies on earth. Period. This is the first time I have been back to Greece in about 9 years (shame on me) and I will never let that happen again. Greece is best with family, friends, significant others, or just by yourself...so that means its pretty much just the best. Part 1 will cover beachwear and then I willl be back with Part 2 for the nightlife/clubwear/etc.
Below is a lifeguard on the Island of Evia. I bet you can find him there next summer. He is by the Olympic Star Hotel...a wonderful low key beach spot. Greek flag towel. I <3 flagwear. Sue me.

Very cute. Pink and white tie bikini combo.
Another shot of unnecessary clothing at the pool...socks...I'm pretty sure you don't need to wear your socks in 90 degree weather. Do ya'll know this fool? LOL just kidding, shout out to my awesome lil bro.

Couples that match...look pretty sweet to me. I love all the different prints and funky colors they are rocking.

...more great hats! The Micky visor is waaay too awesome and the orange sunglasses are also very nice.
The Athens Riviera...please take me back.

Happiness on the beach!
My favorite shot of the summer...the best part is that his tennis shoes match his green khaki butt-trunks. Fantastic.
Vas and Maria look awesome as usual. Vas completes her "J-Lo" look with a black headband...great accessory for your swimsuit. Plus it keeps that wild beach hair out of your face.
Ok, I will be back with more from Greece in a day or so. Stay hydrated folks.

WHY IS EVERYBODY LOOKING AT ME?
Happy 4th of July everyone! Yesterday was an awesome Saturday in ATL. First stop pool party, dinner at Bombay Cafe (amazing), and Josh's Birthday Bash at the night club, Oprah (I know its Opera). Some very stylish folks were out and about...
(on the left, I am wearing Anne Taylor Loft sunglasses, Victoria Secret swim suit, and Gap Shoes; on the right Andrea is wearing Bebe swim suit and shoes from www.amiclubwear.com)

This is the Love Guru of Atlanta, Roop, turbans are sexy, no doubt.
hot red swimsuit on designer, Sara. Purchased at unknown department store, yes yes!
Patrick stole the show in his red, American Apparel swim trunks. He got more compliments than me (I did pick it out for him) also his jewelry and accessories are perfecto.

French people, gotta love them.
Classy!!! A smart Costa Rican chica who knows to bring a second pair of shoes when clubbing. (Zara dress, Steve Madden pumps)
Bday Boy Josh- a good solid look for men when going out on the town.
Just more proof that the turban is sexy. I also like Tasha's sleek look.

Last but not least, my fam! They are so cool that they have style no matter what they wear.

Summer Camp Part II
We had to leave behind our lucky yellow VW bug to jump into our "North Florida Off Road" MONSTER truck...life is pretty grand. We drove that baby to nearby falls called "Edge of the World."

Now I have to say that twins, Katherine and Kristine got their bikinis in a much fancier place than Wal-Mart. They got their swim suits from that little French boutique called, Tarje, better known as Target. All fashionistas know Target has some major finds.
Katherine and Kristine can be found singing at Cafe di Sol on Thursday nights...if you are lucky to catch them. They sing with an amazing local guitarist (he plays every week) who should not be missed. The twins will also be wearing these same bikinis in next summer Farley Brothers' movie, Hall Pass.

Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize

Notice Katherine's ring, its real Native American Vintage turquoise from her Grandma's collection. Your grandma has some of the best pieces you can get because she has had many more years to collect! The bracelet is a simple piece of costume jewelry. Don't be afraid the flaunt what you got and mix it all up!
